Flare Gas Recovery & CO2 reduction
The first Liquid Seal was installed at one Platform in 2002 and
subsequently at many other platforms in offshore.
From early 2002, the Liquid Seal with Gas Recovery system are working
satisfactorily without any problem or without compromising safety.
The recovered low pressure rich gas at one Platform was estimated
Zero Flaring to be about 120,000 Cub. Meter/Day which was put-back to the Main Gas Compressors for Exporting to Onshore Terminal for further processing with total gas.
Value Proposition
BlueGas bv has done concept development for GTL (gas to liquid) production by recovering flare gas from fixed platforms & FPSOs utilizing the utilities , offshore accommodation module etc of the operating facility. In several cases the concept is GTL production (with flare gas recovery) based on stand alone barges for offshore and modular systems for onshore.
Upgrade of Topsides Packages
The operating facilities may require upgrade of existing topsides facilities because of :
• Aging factor
• Reservoirs depleting
• Lower arrival pressures/Lower flow rates
Topsides facilities may require upgrade/modernization of :
• Multiphase separators – internals based on optimum residence time of the separators
• Troubleshooting of BS&W (< 0.5%)
• TVP improvements of stabilized crude
• Improvements in the Suction scrubbers of Gas compressors
• TEG package improvements – reboiler etc to improve the dew points
Note: BlueGas bv can carry out the study to recommend the above upgrades.
Sand handling/ Sand Management in upstream oil/gas
Sand Estimates
• Related process engineering
• Particle sizes and annual loadings predictions
• Facilities description for Coarse and Fine Sand
Sand Monitoring
(a) For SURF and topsides/surface facilities
(b) Sand monitors location and control system integration
Additional systems
• To work the specific project concept with specialists for online removal of sands from Separators
• Mitigation methods for Sand accumulation in existing and new planned facilities
• Removal of Sands up to a few hundred tons/year based in (1) above specialized services
Upgrade of Fiscal Metering
• Conventionally several upstream facilities might have custody transfer metering.
• In the changed business environment there may be more partners in oil/gas facilities which may require upgrade of existing Oil/Gas metering systems
• Analyzer system integrated with metering can also work out higher (non-permissible) CO2 etc for the levies/extra costs on the project operations.
• Upgrade of existing metering facilities with better functionalities
RAM Analysis
Reliability, Availability & Maintainability is one of the key performance figures of upstream facilities.
The criteria is the rated design vs actually achievable.
BlueGas wants to discuss in detail as this is being vast subject and can also review the sparing philosophies, efficiency of system etc.
Note: BlueGas in alliance can carry out such studies
